Why Choose an IICRC-Certified Restoration Professional?

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is the standards body for the restoration industry, and its ANSI-accredited standards — S500 for water damage restoration and S520 for mold remediation — define how professional work is supposed to be done. Certified technicians are trained to classify water losses correctly, contain mold so it does not spread, dry structures with measured psychrometric methods, and document everything for your insurance claim.

The North Bay's climate makes that expertise essential. Wet winters and Russian River flooding drive water damage claims across Sonoma County; wildfire smoke and fire losses affect homes from Santa Rosa to Napa; and coastal humidity in Marin creates chronic mold conditions. Mold growth can begin within 24 to 72 hours of a water loss — hiring a certified professional quickly is the single best way to limit the damage.

Every Premium Restoration member of the NorthBay Restoration Association holds active IICRC firm certification, a valid California contractor license, and liability insurance. And because NBRAUSA is a 501(c)(3) public charity, our Community Assistance Program helps low-income families, seniors, and renters in Sonoma, Marin, and Napa counties access free or reduced-cost testing and remediation when they need it most.
